Hola Hola

This word in the communication language in Cuba is something that creates a Cuban unit, something that allows being Cuban because there is no one single day when walking in the street everyone who knows you tells you a smiling “hola Buenos Dias”. This word is very frequently used by the Cuban people so don’t be surprised when you travel to Cuba and you experience this characteristic smile which announces an expression that means “hello my friend, how are you”?

Hola is a greeting
“Hola” is a Spanish word used as a greeting. It has got an informal character and so people use it very often. A little bit more formal greeting could be “Buenos Dias” but this one is limited only to the mornings. Other greetings are “Buenas Tardes” which can be used after midday and “Buenas Noches” which is used during the sunset.
